The Imperial Glass Company was a glass manufacturer that operated in the United States from 1901 to 1984. It was based in Bellaire, Ohio, and produced a wide range of glassware products, including tableware, decorative items, and art glass. The company was founded by Edward Muhleman, who had previously worked for the Belmont Glass Company. Muhleman brought several skilled glassworkers to Imperial, and the company quickly became known for its high-quality glassware. The company faced financial difficulties in the 1970s and 1980s and eventually filed for bankruptcy in 1984. Some of the company's equipment and molds were sold to other glass manufacturers, while collectors and enthusiasts purchased others.
