is a sweet little antique baby feeding dish made in the early 1900's. It measures 8" wide and 2" tall. This bowl is made from a very heavy stoneware like pottery in order for the child not to be able to tip it over so easy which was a great idea!! Along the edges is a gilt gold decoration and in the center is a lovely colorful transfer print. I am not sure but I think this plate was part of a series and it was called Baby Bunting and Bunch. This plate features a sweet little girl and her puppy looking at a frog in a pond. Under them is a little story which reads as follows "Baby Bunting & Bunch while crossing a log, are boldly stared at by an ugly green frog". On the back the bowl it is marked under the glaze in green "Holdfast Baby Plate, patented D. E. Mc Nicol, East Liverpool, O." Condition: This little baby dish is in wonderful condition. T are no chips, cracks, nicks, dark craze lines or repairs. The bowl has some imperfections found in the glaze and does not effect it at all. The cute transfer print has some untensil scratches and wear to the print, some small spots missing which are not very noticeable. The gold along the edge of the dish is worn slightly from a hundrend years of little hands and fingers rubbing along the edges. This is r eally the sweetest bowl and in great condition. It can be displayed with your antique read more
