Bawo And Dotter Guerin Pouyat Elite Ltd Cup and Saucer Floral Motif 1896-1900 I have seen this mark attributed to Bawo & Dotter all over the web but Kovells Book Of Marks calls it Guerin-Pouyat-Elite LTD. formed in 1870 then various names to present, at least both sources of information state that this backstamp was in use from 1896-1900. The backstamp on both pieces is (in red) ELITE. over a shield which contains three fleur de lis with a line underneath S a face M with Limoges in script hungging the bottom of the shield then FRANCE in block letters . The saucer also has (in green) T. E Mintram. All that being said it is a beautiful set and in awesome condition considering it is so light and delicate. Approximate Dimensions: Saucer .875" tall x 5.5" wide
