Thisis a lot of eight (8) figures from Richards Soldiers (RS) Set No. __– Captain John Nelson’s 4 th Independent Rifle Company (Pennsylvania), at the trail, 1776. The lot includes eight (8) other ranks wearing hunting shirts. RS models are 54mm scale figures made in the style of old toy soldiers. RS figures represent regiments from the American Revolution, World War I, and specialty sets from ancient Egyptians to soldiers of the Franco-Prussian War. The models were the creation of Richard Herring, Scarsdale, New York. Mr. Herring produced Herrings and Richards Soldiers from 1977 through the mid-1980s; production was very limited. In original scarlet letter Richards Soldiers, red box of issue . The rifle company was raised January 1776 for service in Canada; it was commanded by Captain John Nelson. The company was dissolved during November 1776. A nice early Christmas gift for yourself or someone special.
