SUPERB MACIEL HAMMERED COIN SILVER DESSERT SET TRAY 20 OZ A great holiday gift!!! A NICE ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTIONS!! is an early 1900s original set of 3 pieces hand-hammered Mexican coin silver dessert set made by Maciel, c. pre-1920. The set is fully marked as the early Mexican coin silver. The intaglio "900" mark is found on work dating from the turn of the century until the 1920's. As described by Bille Hougart in his book, The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks, Maciel Silver Factory, based in Mexico City, manufactures high quality silver hollowware. All pieces are marked with "MACIEL" hallmark, 900/1000, MADE IN MEXICO. This set is beautifully decorated by floral designs on the body. All pieces in this set have a same matching original hand hammered pattern design. Please click at the following Click for More Pictures to see more beautiful details. This is guaranteed to be estate sterling silver coming from the estate of a family in Dallas, TX. This is an early set in excellent museum quality with no monogram or monogram removal on any of the pieces. The measurements are: Sugar bowl is 5 X 3 ¾ X 2 ¾ inches, 4.7 oz, Cream pitcher is 4 3/4 X 3 1/2 X 2 ¾ inches, 4.6 oz, Tray is 12 X 8 X 1/2 inches, 10.7 oz.
