Period 14kt White Gold Octagon Shaped Cufflinks. One side has a fancy font with a monogram which I think is FCC (in that order - and I needed a loupe to see it) and the other side has a fine detailed pin striped pattern both sides have borders of geometric figures. Measures 9/16". Marked on the connector between the front and back 14 k and a sideways W. Which is the mark of J. R. Wood & Sons, New York, NY. The firm started in 1850 with a factory in Brooklyn NY. J. R. Wood died in 1897 and his sons continued the business under the same name. In 1917 the firm moved its office to the Silversmiths Building, 15 Maiden Lane, and then the moved again to 216 E. 45th St. J. R. Wood merged into Lenox, Inc. Trenton NJ in 1970. In 1975 the name of the company was changed from J. R. Wood to Art-Carved, Inc. So sorry for the crappy pics. I took so many and none were good. Very hard to capture the beauty of these!
